Important: DeleteMyAI acts as an authorized agent to submit data deletion requests on your behalf. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide to us when using our service.

Who We Are

KBC Ventures, LLC ("DeleteMyAI," "we," "us," "our"), located at 100 Powell Place #1538, Nashville, TN 37204, United States, operates the data deletion service at deletemy.ai and its associated web application. We help individuals exercise their legal right to data deletion from artificial intelligence providers by acting as their authorized agent.

Data We Collect

Account and Profile Data

  • Full name — provided during onboarding
  • Email address — provided during onboarding and used for account login
  • State/region and country — provided during onboarding to determine applicable privacy regulations
  • Clerk authentication data — a unique user identifier (clerk_id) managed by our authentication provider

Payment and Billing Data

  • Stripe customer ID and payment IDs — stored to associate your payments with your account; full payment card details are processed and stored exclusively by Stripe and are never accessible to us
  • Order and payment history — records of which services you have purchased

Service Data

  • LPOA consent records — a record of your Limited Power of Attorney authorization, including when it was signed and its current status
  • AI provider selections — which AI providers you have chosen for data deletion requests
  • Deletion request status — the current state of each deletion request we send on your behalf
  • Communications with providers — copies of correspondence sent to and received from AI providers regarding your deletion requests

Marketing Site Analytics

On our marketing site (deletemy.ai), we use analytics and advertising tools that may collect browsing data. See the Cookies and Tracking section below for details. The web application (app.deletemy.ai) does not include any third-party tracking scripts.

How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account
  • To send data deletion requests to AI providers on your behalf as your authorized agent
  • To track the status of deletion requests and send you updates
  • To process payments for our services
  • To comply with legal obligations and maintain records of authorized actions taken
  • To improve the marketing site based on aggregated analytics (marketing site only)
  • To send you service-related communications (e.g., request status updates, account notifications)

Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following legal bases as defined by GDPR Article 6(1):

  • Consent — Article 6(1)(a) — For marketing communications and analytics cookies on the marketing site. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract performance — Article 6(1)(b) — To provide the data deletion service you have requested, including processing your account data, LPOA authorization, provider selections, and deletion requests.
  • Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f) — For fraud prevention, service security, and maintaining records of actions taken on your behalf. Our legitimate interest in these activities does not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Third-Party Services and Sub-Processors

We share data with the following third-party processors to operate our service:

Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are in place with Clerk, Stripe, and AWS to ensure these processors handle your data in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties, share your data with advertisers or data brokers, or use your data for AI model training. It would be deeply ironic for a data deletion service to mishandle your data. We take this seriously.

Cookies and Tracking

Marketing Site (deletemy.ai)

Our marketing site uses the following cookies and tracking technologies, which are loaded only after you provide consent via the cookie banner:

  • Google Analytics 4 (G-2HJPBC7TJ9) — Collects anonymized usage data including page views, referral sources, and user interactions to help us understand how visitors use our marketing site. Google may set cookies including _ga and _ga_*.
  • Google Ads (AW-756890240) — Conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. Google may set cookies for ad attribution.
  • HubSpot — Tracks interactions with our waitlist and marketing forms. HubSpot may set the hubspotutk cookie for visitor identification and form attribution. HubSpot's privacy policy is available at legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.

You can accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies via the cookie consent banner shown when you first visit the marketing site. If you reject cookies, these tracking scripts will not be loaded.

Web Application (app.deletemy.ai)

The web application uses only essential cookies required for the service to function:

  • Clerk session cookies — Required for authentication and maintaining your logged-in session. These are strictly necessary cookies and do not require consent.

The web application does not include any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts.

Data Retention

  • Account data — Retained while your account is active, plus 30 days after account deletion to allow for recovery.
  • Payment records — Retained for 7 years as required by financial record-keeping regulations.
  • LPOA authorization records — Retained for the duration of the authorization plus 3 years for legal compliance purposes.
  • Deletion request records and provider communications — Retained for 3 years after request completion for legal compliance and dispute resolution purposes.
  • Marketing site analytics data — Retained per the default retention policies of Google Analytics (14 months) and HubSpot.

You may request earlier deletion of your data by contacting us, subject to any legal retention obligations we may have.

Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable privacy regulations (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — Request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Deletion — Request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Portability — Request a machine-readable copy of data you have provided to us
  • Objection — Object to our processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests
  • Restrict processing — Request that we restrict how we process your data in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for all communications
  • Encryption at rest for stored data on AWS infrastructure
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
  • Secure authentication via Clerk with session management
  • Regular review of security practices and sub-processor compliance

Children's Privacy

DeleteMyAI is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@deletemy.ai and we will promptly delete that information.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. When your data is transferred outside of the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of material changes via email before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
